The publication ?Is There An Answer To Everything? A journey to the world of Greek mathematics? is a collective work which is a supplement to the exhibition with the same name that is hosted at Hellenic Cosmos, the Foundation's cultural centre. Through texts and abundant photographic material this publication approaches both the history of Greek mathematics and the way the exhibition was designed.

More specifically, important people of mathematical science are presented, such as Euclid, Archimedes and Apollonius. Ancient Greek astronomy is examined as a science closely related to mathematics, while the relationship between mathematics and music is also explored. There is also a presentation of the social and political framework of the development of mathematics in Greece, from the Mycenean culture and the first testimonies regarding arithmetic symbols to the "journey" of ancient mathematics to the West, either through the Byzantines or through the Arabs. Finally, the aims of the exhibition are analysed, as well as its organization in sections, allowing the visitor to choose his own tour of the area.

It is available in two languages, Greek and English.

The Book is on sale at the Museum Shop, in the Cultural Centre of FHW, as well as at major bookstores in Greece. For further information contact the Museum Shop of the Cultural Centre, tel.: +(30) 212 254 0000 or write at sales@ime.gr.
