The Government having departed, which has been overthrown by the popular verdict
and the Regent admiral Mr P. Koundouriotis having resigned, regency was undertaken
according to the Constitution and the Laws of the State, by Her Majesty,
the Queen Mother Olga.

Her Majesty entrusted us with the composition of the new Cabinet. Having sworn
before her the standard oath, we immediately proceeded in summoning the just elected National assembly,
that it undertake the regulation of the affairs of the Country.
Being fully aware that the supreme interests of the Fatherland command the preservation of
order and the bridging of the gap, opened in the country
by the universal popular vote disapproving oligarchy,
we will take every measure to restore the Constitution and the validity of the
Laws. Generally and indiscriminately the citizens recover peace of mind,
which they had lost during the period terminated by the elections of last Sunday.
The Greeks already rendered equal and free,
must be absolutely confident that, obeying only to jsutice and the Law, they
will fully enjoy the protection of their legal interests. We appeal to the generous feelings
of the Greek people and the National Army, that they provide their contribution
to our work.
